Når Innovation Lykkes på tværs 2026

The 7th edition of Når Innovation Lykkes på tværs (NIL) brought welfare-technology vendors, kommuner, regions, and the research sector together in Aalborg in April 2026. The event was organised by Danish Life Science Cluster and ByLink in collaboration with Aalborg University, Aalborg Kommune, Region Nordjylland, Vesthimmerlands Kommune, Aquatime, Danish.Care - Branchen for hjælpemidler og velfærdsteknologi, and Medicoindustrien.

What we talked about

• The dialogue between vendors and kommuner. The shared challenges get solved not by vendors and buyers working separately, but by both sides working toward the same answer.
• The documentation burden in practice. The same patterns recur when we talk to kommuner: too much text per care event, the documentation standard expected of staff whose first language is not Danish is too high, too little time during a shift to write on the spot.
• Real-time documentation and early detection. The two themes kommuner are currently working on are linked - and both depend on a documentation tool that can be used at the point of care. See our own pages on real-time documentation and early detection.

Who we met

Much of NIL’s value is that it brings together people who would not otherwise cross paths. We reconnected with people across the sector and caught up with colleagues at Erhvervshus Hovedstaden - Brian Jacobsen, Christian Brix, and Pernille Middelboe Frederiksen.
